I call this... Thursday

In true entrepreunerial spirit- Meaning I'm unemployed and have time on my hands- I'm sitting in a coffee shop, sipping on an oversized cup and saucer, pretending to be making tons of money on my laptop. In Boulder.

To be fair. The coffee is good. Oh, and there's a lot to look at...
  • Girl with jeans on and race bib shoulder straps hanging out.
  • Dude in puffy jacket who looks like he just woke up, in the wrong city.
  • Woman who seems to lugging around 45 pounds of equipment that could be used in an emargency.
  • A line of laptop users that rivals the judges of an olympic gymanastic competition.
Myperspective this A.M.
Good Morning.

Just another Friday afternoon?

Sometimes, life is just mundane.

Woke up today not feeling so good. Continued on to simple breakfast followed by doing the laundry, washing dishes, looking for jobs, then sucked into the vastness of the interweb. The following represents the stream of conciousness in my wasting time/ doing research:
  • Girl Talk myspace account -needed music to occupy the silence.
  • Checked Facebook -yes, people are still going back and forth about the election.
  • Checked the bank account. -Still liquidfor now.
  • Watched a really cool POV downhill mountainbiking video.
  • Watched another POV video- not mountainbiking.
  • Went to workforce site to look for jobs, then on to several other assorted job sites.
I spend a lot of time looking forward to future events.  For example, this afternoon I'm going to meet a friend at a local brewery. This has potential. Good conversation. Good beer. Get out into the Colorado sunshine.

I don't think that I'm the only one who does this. Is this how we combat the maintenance things in our life?
The mundane day to day... We look forward to people, places, things, beer?

Oh, Yeah, I have way more questions than answers. You'll have to check out my other blogs  to get answers.

Two Eggs Overeasy

"You know who would love it?"
"Truckers."

Direct quote from my wife in response to a blog idea.  Brilliant.

Now, the rest of the story...
We are currently in Austin, TX for a music festival, sitting on the proch of our VRBO drinking coffee. Thinking about riding bikes to breakfast and I confirmed that the place we are looking to eat has good breakfast: Two eggs overeasy, wheat toast, bacon and homefries/ hashbrowns. As I enthusiacicatly announced this- everyone giggled a little uncomfortably not knowing that the only thing that I order when I go out for breakfast is... you guessed it... Two eggs overeasy.

So, to combat the uncomfortable silence due to the borderline OCD behavior, I quickly explained that I eat/have the same breakfast when we go out, so I can compare breakfast places/ diners.
The reasoning:
1. 95% of the places have this breakfast option.
2. It's pretty hard to screw this up. It's just eggs and toast.
3. Actually, this is the preferred breakfast option in diners around the world.
4. Damn, it tastes good.

A while back, a friend had mentioned, coincidently, at the place we are having breakfast this morning, that 'Two eggs overeasy' would be a good blog idea. Stories about breakfast. Good reviews of breakfast places in the areas that I have traveled. Comments on good coffee and beer along the way. A bit of a travel journal. You get the picture.

Thus, as I explained this to Rosalinda, my wife piped in...
"You know who would love it?"
"Truckers."

Oh, the name of the breakfast place in question this morning...
